There are lots of claims like this and if even 10% of them worked cancer would be virtually eradicated But in desperate times we try desperate means just ignore true medicine.,

I doubt that many people faced with a potential death sentence are dismissive of what is considered to be their best chance of survival?

However, I do think there may be a danger of overlooking effective remedies because they don't pay, as the video implies.

When you are faced with the grim reaper anything that says "try me I can save your life" is a port in a storm. A friend of mine has just gone into remission from leukemia after a year of the severest of chemotherapy which has left her 6" shorter, with spondilitis, MS, and oseoporosis. Was it worth it, yes, because she has just learned that she is to be a grandmother in two months time, and she will be around to see him/her. If she was given the worse of news and she had to change her diet she would have done!

Thank you for highlighting this article. The information is very valuable reading and consistent with my own findings when I researched the causes of cancer. I have been developing a paper that I am happy to share that is stored at docs.google.com/file/d/0B4X...
that explains my findings so far. The important thing to note is that a patient can still follow the standard medical treatments for cancer whilst at the same time adopting a low carb (ketongenic) diet that will greatly increase their chances of recovery.

Interesting!! Is this why my body craves wash downs with lavender oils 3-4 times a day following surgery for breast cancer.??? I took the radiotherapy but rejected the medicines as I had multiple side effects within 30 days. I also 'crave' fats at the moment. so now don't feel so guilty eating them.. Methinks my body has the right to ask for what it needs and I am learning to trust it more.

One of the main reasons this topic is of special interest is because the low-fat diet that has been recommended to the population for the past 20-30 years actually increases our chances of getting cancer. This makes it a very controversial topic. Therefore, "Concerned" who started this thread has opened up a discussion that is worthy of debate. As a case in point, Nathan Pritikin who was accredited with introducing the low-fat diet to counter his heart disease problems sadly died of cancer (leukaemia) at the age 70.

In case anyone still thinks a ketogenic diet may be unhealthy (even for cancer patients) this study

Ketogenic Enteral Nutrition treatment of over 19,000 patients induced a rapid 10% weight loss, 57% of which was Fat Mass. No significant adverse effects were found. The treatment is safe, fast, inexpensive and has good one-year results for weight maintenance.

Here we see it used in conjunction with conventional

Is there a role for carbohydrate restriction in the treatment and prevention of cancer?

But don't forget that Vitamin D regulates signaling regulates cancer cell proliferation and differentiation, and functions as a cancer chemopreventive agent, So whatever you try it will work better when combined with raising Vitamin D3 25(OH)D to ABOVE 125nmol/l or 50ng/ml. That is the natural point of Vitamin D equilibrium at which Vitamin D is most effective as an anti inflammatory agent and at which point we have reserves of Vitamin D in addition to that circulating as Calcidiol. If I had a cancer diagnosis I would immediately raise 25(OH)D from the current 125nmol/l to 200nmol/l or 80ng/ml as at that level Calcitriol itself can act directly as the active hormone.
25-Hydroxyvitamin D(3) is an agonistic vitamin D receptor ligand.
www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed...
25(OH)D levels that high are still NATURAL in that Israeli lifeguards and pregnant women living in East Africa as hunter gatherer's naturally reach that level just from sun exposure.
