The problem with assuming the cholesterol hypothesis is money-motivated is that there was no money in the beginning, so how did it start?

Money could possibly explain over-prescription and various secondary consequences, but neither the original hypothesis, nor the FH-CHD correlation.

I think you are throwing the baby out with the bathwater if you completely dismiss the effectiveness of statins. They are aggressively marketed, given to people who probably don't get any benefit from them, side effects are often dismissed but they are probably life saving to people with FH.
I am a big fan of Dr Kendrick, but he doesn't address the issues of FH in "The Great Cholesterol Con". In FH you are talking about people who have more than double the "normal" LDL levels.
You have just to got to make the distinction between the public hype and genetic disease.
